Different Ways To Treat Allergies With Turmeric
Do you have allergies? There are some individuals who are just allergic to a lot of things. Their nose can easily get stuffy when there is a tiny dust particle around them. Some even keep on sneezing after someone applies a perfume near them and others even experience watery eyes, rashes, runny nose, itchy and other allergic reaction.
If you’re one of those people experiencing the same kind of condition, then you may want to try this miraculous ingredient.
Allergies can be due to certain foods, medicines, dust, pollen, smoke and a lot more. Once they enter the body, histamines in the bloodstream are released thus increasing mucus production and causing throat irritation, skin rashes, wheezing and others.
And here comes turmeric. Its curcumin content acts as a decongestant and helps treat various symptoms of allergies. Also, the golden spice has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties that are great against allergies and other health-related problems.
Here’s How To Use Turmeric For Allergies
Turmeric Milk
Pour a coconut or almond milk into a saucepan and heat it slightly. Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and add the following:
- A teaspoon raw honey
- A small piece of ginger
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- A pinch of cinnamon powder
- A pinch of ground black pepper
Whisk until everything is dissolved and ensure that it does not boil. Pour into a mug, cool it down and consume before going to bed.
Cinnamon and honey have anti-inflammatory properties while ginger acts as antihistamine and decongestant. Cayenne pepper helps reduce nasal congestion and stuffiness. Black pepper improves the absorption of curcumin by 2000%.
