Fruit And Vegetable Peels That We Can Use For Beauty Purposes
Leftover fruit or vegetable peels are often thrown away without knowing that they also contain vitamins and minerals that are present in the fruits or veggies themselves.
Below are some fruit and veggie peels that we can save as they have amazing health and beauty uses.
Potato Peels
Potato peels can also be used to add luster to hair and also help them to grow faster. For this, we need to apply the potato juice on our scalp and hair for 5 minutes and leaves it on for another 15 minutes. Wash it off with water. Doing this will help eliminate the buildup of chemicals from various hairstyling aids and make the hair smooth and bouncy.
Banana Peels
Banana peels are good for the skin. Rubbing the inner side of banana peels on our face can help moisturize and brighten skin, reduce wrinkles, and fade acne scars. This can also help exfoliate our skin to eliminate those dead cells that make our complexion look lifeless.
Placing the peel on closed eyes can also help reduce puffiness. In removing a wart, taping a piece of ripe banana peel over it and leaving it there overnight is recommended. When it comes to psoriasis, applying banana peel to the affected area will help moisturize and relieve itch.
Lemon Peels
For age spots (blemishes, wrinkles, acne, freckles, dark spots), we only need to rub the lemon peel against them and allow it to dry. Repeat this after an equal interval of time and wash off with cold water. However, while using this method we should protect your skin from sun exposure.
Lemon peel can also help keep our skin soft, supple and hydrated all the time. Simply take one small piece of lemon peel and rub it all around the face. Do this several times a day.
