Home Remedies That May Help Get Rid Of Embarrassing Armpit Odor
Smelly underarms are really a major turnoff. It can make us feel less confident as we constantly try to keep our arms down to hide the embarrassing odor. Luckily, there is easy to find natural remedies that can help us minimize the armpit odor. Check them out below.
Lemon Juice
This remedy would require us to take half a lemon and rub it directly on the underarms. We need to leave the juice on until it dries and then washes it off with water. Doing this once daily can help us achieve the best results.
Apple Cider Vinegar
For this remedy, we need to take a small bowl of apple cider vinegar and dip a cotton ball in this and apply it directly to the underarms. For best results, it is recommended to do this every morning after a bath, and every night before going to bed.
Witch Hazel
We can fight against odor-causing bacteria by soaking a cotton ball with witch hazel and rubbing it on the underarms after showering or bathing. Witch hazel lowers the skin’s pH, thus making it hard for bacteria to survive. We can even put a little witch hazel in a spray bottle to use as a traveling toner spray for our armpits and face.
Baking Soda
Mix equal parts of baking soda and cornstarch and apply it directly to the underarms. The concoction will eliminate wetness, kill bacteria, and ward off body odor.
Plus, it can keep the underarms dry for several hours.
Also, mixing 1 tablespoon each of baking soda and lemon juice works wonders. Apply the mixture directly to the underarms and leave it on for about 2 to 3 minutes and then take a shower. Do this daily for a few weeks.
Coconut Oil
Simply take some coconut oil on the finger and apply it underarms. Leave it on until it is absorbed. We need to apply the oil 1-2 time daily just after taking a bath.
