Home Remedies That May Help Treat Skin Allergies And Itchiness
Skin itchiness and skin allergies may show a negative impact on our skin. These skin problems can really be irritating as the more we scratch our skin, the more it itches. With constant scratching, we can break our skin and make it prone to infections.
Luckily, we can try one of these at-home treatments for immediate itch relief.
Tulsi Or Holy Basil
Simply wash a few leaves and rub them over the affected area or prepare a tea by boiling a few leaves in the water in a covered utensil; then dip a cotton ball or cloth into the tea and apply to the itchy skin.
Aloe Vera
Scoop out the jelly-like substance inside an aloe vera leaf and rub it over an itchy spot. Leave it on for a few minutes.
Mint Leaves
This remedy requires us to create a paste by grinding a few leaves of mint added with a few drops of fresh water. Add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to it and mix them well together and then apply it to the affected areas. Rinse it off with clean water after 30 minutes.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Just dip a cotton ball or cloth in a little apple cider vinegar and dab on the affected area to get rid of itchiness. Another way of using apple cider vinegar is by adding a cupful of it into our bathwater.
Coconut Oil
Simply rub a little coconut oil directly onto the affected area or apply the oil all over the body after taking a bath to get rid of a widespread itch.
Baking Soda
All we need to do is to add 1 part of water to three parts of baking soda to make a paste and then apply it to the itchy area. Aside from this, a soothing baking soda bath can also be prepared by adding a cup of baking soda into a tub full of lukewarm water and soak in it for half an hour; then dry in air.
