Our palms also need some tender loving care. It can become dull, dry, or rough due to wind or rough weather, soaps, exposure to sunlight, chemicals, and manual labor. For these reasons, we need to moisturize it daily or keep ourselves hydrated and eat healthy foods to prevent our palms from drying out. It really feels more comfortable if we have soft, fair, and moisturized palms.

Here are some of the simplest home remedies that we can try to get rid of rough palms.

Olive Oil And Sugar

This wonderfully simple scrub can soften our hand in less than a minute. Olive oil is a great skin moisturizer while sugar exfoliates and sloughs off rough old, dead cells. Put 1 tablespoon of sugar in the palm of one hand and slowly pour the olive oil into it. Using the other palm start rubbing the scrub into the palms and hands. Gently massage the fingers and hands in circular motions for about 30 seconds. Relax the palms and let the scrub sink in for another 30 seconds. Simply wash out the hands with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.

Citrus Power

Aside from softening the skin, this home remedy is also recommended for hands that are dark, discolored, and aged-looking.

Mix 2 teaspoons each of lemon juice, baking soda, and honey. Apply the mixture onto the hands and rub it thoroughly. Massage the hands for a minute and then allow the mixture to sit on it for about 10 minutes. Wash the hands in warm water. Do not use soap directly afterward. For best results, repeat doing this for at least twice a week.

Tomatoes are known for their antioxidant’s properties and as a natural bleaching agent. To use this remedy, we need to mix equal amounts of tomato juice, lemon juice, and glycerin. Rub the mixture gently on the hands to get smooth and fair palms.

Almond Oil And Olive Oil

Almond oil contains vitamin E that helps keep the palms smooth and healthy.

Simply mix equal amounts of almond oil and olive oil and then apply it on rough palms. Leave on it for 10-15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water and mild soap.

Egg Yolks

Egg yolks are loaded with lecithin, an emollient that helps condition the skin. Separate an egg into egg yolk and whites. For this remedy, we will only be using the egg yolks. Put the egg yolk into a small bowl and add 1 teaspoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of almond powder, and a few drops of rosewater and then stir. Rub it well all over the hands for 10 minutes and allow to sit for about 10 minutes more. Gently rinse the mixture from the hands, and dry.
