Rosewater boosts eye health. It has terpenes, flavonoids, and anthocyanins, as well as phenolic compounds that scavenge free radicals and have anti-inflammatory and antidepressant properties. It is considered to be a remedy for sores, itches, and burning sensations in the eyes. After a long, tiring day and happens to suffer from eye irritations, simply add few drops of rose water to the eyes and close them for 10 minutes. Doing so will soothe the eyes to a great extent.

Cataracts are cloudy areas in the lens of the eye that can cause changes in vision. One possible cause of this condition is intraocular inflammation. During the early stages of a cataract, the use of rose water in the eyes may help prevent dryness that is associated with the progression of the disease. With regular application of rose water, a cataract can be prevented.
