Alkaline Foods For Better Health


Ingesting too many acidic foods cause a pH imbalance. Too much acidity can lead to a whirlwind of health problems, including immune, nervous, digestive, and reproductive issues. Due to these, we need to start a new diet and consider eating alkaline foods that may help in countering the risks of acidity, bringing some sort of relief. Here the list of alkaline foods that are worth the try:


Carrots


Carrots offer a special punch all on their own. It is loaded with vitamins A and C and can provide the body with cleansing, healing, and alkalizing properties. We can add carrots in our raw dishes, or slightly roast them or use them in a green juice.


Tomatoes


When uncooked, tomatoes are most alkaline. But still, raw or uncooked, both can provide the body with numerous nutrients. Tomatoes are also a good source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and digestive enzymes. Simply mix it to salad or omelet or have some slices of it with a bit of pink sea salt.


Lemons and Limes


Though lemons and limes are acidic, they become alkaline within the body. They may help support heart health, prevent kidney stones, protect against anemia, and reduce cancer risk. Their juices both go great in salads by itself or mixed into some creamy herb dressing.


Celery


Celery contains high amounts of water, natural electrolytes, and vitamin C and K. Consumption of this superfood may help bring balance to the body and prevent electrolyte loss that can cause inflammation on its own. Moreover, eating celery regularly may also be helpful in lowering down blood pressure. Have it chopped and diced anywhere. It contains oleic acid, a fat that activates the part of that brain that makes a person feel full and has shown to provide important anti-inflammatory benefits to the body, including the cardiovascular and digestive system.


Cauliflower and Broccoli


These superfoods contain several phytochemicals that have alkaline-promoting properties. They are also known as probable cancer-fighters. By tossing them up with other veggies like capsicum, beans, and green peas, we will be able to have a healthy dose right there.
