Homemade Repellents That Can Help Get Rid Of Mosquitoes
With mosquitoes nesting and breeding in areas with water (puddles, water containers, and ponds), it is expected that a number of mosquitoes might cause itchy and swollen bumps on our skin. It may also bring several deadly mosquito-borne diseases. But before that happens, why not try making homemade mosquito repellents that contain natural and effective ingredients.
Tea Tree Oil And Coconut Oil
Simply mix 10 drops of tea tree oil and 30 ml of coconut oil or olive oil and then apply it directly to the exposed areas of the skin 2 to 3 times daily before going out.
Baking Soda With Vinegar Mosquito Trap
For this, we need to take and empty bottle and add ¼ cup of baking soda to the bottom part of it. Take the top part of the bottle and invert it so that it looks like a funnel. Place the inverted half of the bottle on top of the bottom half and pour 1 cup of vinegar into this. Place it outside the room.
Lavender Oil, Vanilla, & Lemon Insect Repellent
This homemade repellent will simply require us to mix 10 drops of lavender oil with 3 tbsp. vanilla extract in a spray bottle. Add in the freshly squeezed 3 tbsp. lemon juice before finally adding water. Shake the bottle continuously until the ingredients are combined. Use this bug spray on the skin two to three times a day.
