Tips That May Help To Naturally Treat Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Blocked fallopian tubes are one of the major causes of infertility in women. These tubes are beneficial in the reproductive system because it is where fertilization takes place -  it is where the egg will join the sperm during conception.

It’s still possible to get pregnant if one fallopian tube is blocked. The egg will simply travel through the other side of the body since there are two ovaries. Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to get pregnant if both tubes are completely blocked (1).

Fallopian tubes can become blocked due to several reasons which include the following 2,3):

  1. Endometriosis can cause a tissue buildup in the tubes
  2. a previously burst appendix
  3. a history of pelvic infection
  4. Fibroids
  5. Previous Ectopic pregnancy
  6. STDs such as gonorrhea or chlamydia
  7. swelling at the end of the fallopian tube

Women who are trying to get pregnant may want to look for natural treatments to unblock their fallopian tubes. These commonly use treatments aim to reduce inflammation in the tubes.

Eat More Garlic

Garlic helps boost the immune system by acting as an antibacterial agent and fighting microbes. Aside from these, it helps in improving blood circulation and reducing scabs and scars from forming thus aiding the mucous membrane and keeping the fallopian tubes open (3).

Add Turmeric

Curcumin, the active component of turmeric, has powerful antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. A study revealed that curcumin can help reduce inflammatory conditions inside the body (4).

Consume More Omega-3 Fatty Acids

In a study, researchers found that there is a relationship between a higher intake of omega-3 fatty acids and decreased levels of inflammation in the body (5). Some of the best sources of omega-3 are walnuts, flaxseeds, and oily fish.

Get More Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps minimize inflammation and boosts our immune system. This may help reduce inflammation, infection, or scar tissue development in the fallopian tube (4).

Other tips we can follow:

  1. Avoid alcohol
  2. Reduce stress
  3. Quit Smoking
  4. Exercise regularly
  5. Eat more anti-inflammatory including green leafy vegetables, celery, beets, broccoli, blueberries, pineapple, bone broth, coconut oil, and chia seeds
